If the rings are of distinct type then in 4x5x6x7x8x9 = 60480 ways

If the rings are undistinguishable then in 4^6 = 4096 ways

simple bro one ring can be distrbuted among the four fingers in 4 ways thus 6 rings in 4^6 ways these are the simplest applications of such problems rate if useful

I have a serious doubt here ... let us simplify the above porblem a little and let us know in how many ways can two rings be worn on three fingures ? As per you it should be 3*3 =9but see below,let us assume r1 to be ring 1 and r2 to be ring 2 then possible combinations will be,r1,r2,0r1,0,r2(r1r2),0,0(r2r1),0,0r2,r1,00,(r2r1),00,(r1r2),00,r1,r2r2,0,r10,r2,r10,0,(r1,r2)0,0,(r2,r1)

posting the combinations again {r1,r2,0} {r1,0,r2} {(r1r2),0,0} {(r2r1),0,0} {r2,r1,0} {0,(r2r1),0} {0,(r1r2),0}{0,r1,r2}{r2,0,r1}{0,r2,r1} {0,0,(r1,r2)} {0,0,(r2,r1)}

since we always keep our fingers down whenever we wear rings

so,

we have

four fingers and 6 rings to wear thus,

4^6

I want to know how did we got that answer.All rings being different... the test cases i made for 2 rings in 3 fingures seems completly valid and are comming equal to 12 .Can someone send me the 9 events which should be the answer for a simple problem for wearing 2 rings in 3 fingures ...!!

Many people answered this question correctly and I am giving the same because its absolutely correct, we have four fingers and 6 rings to wear so,4^6 = 4096
