forthe f(x) to b onto the minand max. value should lie in range...

one of the values come out to be 1+ 2e1/2.....at x2=e..... differentiate and find its zeros....

therefore its the value of a as its greater than e therefore it must b written (e,a).....!!!

f(x) =/=y

form a quad in x

for x be real D>0 or equal to 0

-4(y-1)(y-e)>0

(y-1)(y-e)<0

y=(1,e)

a =1

plz crct me if the ans is incorrect
