x = x x2 = x2 x2 - x2 = x2 - x2 (x+x) (x-x) = x (x-x) x+x=x if x=1 2 = 1 therefore maths proved wrong

oh come on!!!!
you can only cancel non zero terms,
you can not cancel x-x as it is equal to 0
|
Destiny is what you make

After fourth step, for getting fifth step, you divided both sides by (x - x), that is zero. But division or multiplication by zero on both sides is not allowed while simplifying an equation or expression.... as both sides become infinity or zero...

I am of the opinion that if 0 comes in two sides of an eqn., it cannot be cut or else, many more concepts will be proved wrong, like for eg. 2-2=3-3 0=0; 2*0= 3*0; Now, if you cut 0 from both the sides of the equality, you end up with -2=3,which is surely not feasible. So, in the question u are mentioning, (x-x) cannot be cut from the equation.
