matrix match in PT 3 ...

If  a, b, c, d are Real nos. satisfying a2 + b2 + c2 + d2 - ab - bc - cd - d + 2/5 = 0

then

{this was match d foll. ans}

c = a + b

b = d/2

d = a + c

a = c/3

 

Prove it.

please check the question:

according to the given answers ,we have c=3a,b=2a,d=4a.

all the  four given equations are equivalent to these three equations.

substituting this in the given condition,we get 10a^2-4a+2/5=0 which equals 50a^2-20a+2=0 which has complex roots.

 

please verify the question!!!

 

sorry if explanation is wrong....

Qsn is right ... u find that the values that satisfy are a = 1/5, b = 2/5, c = 3/5 and d = 4/5 ... and d eqn doesnt have complex roots, it has equal roots ...

just replace da by d

 solution is correct
