sir,
as we know that that iit has asked all objective type questions this year.
In maths we all know that if we have to get the answer ,then we have to
solve   the problem till we get the proper answer(among given options)
so please suggest that as i am doing  a das gupta (bigger one) in which
75% questions are of subjecttive type. Is am i preparing the right book for
jee 2008.(as it does not have more objective questions)

see,,if u have a good hold and able to do harder subjective questions, then u won`t be facing any problems in objective questions. But the objective questions do require more analysis and quick, wise thinking which u should develop in you,You may purchase any good objective book..

Get this thing clear in your head: It doesn't matter whether IIT asks subjective or objective questions. It is the level of clarity that u build up in your concepts that will matter.

Understand this: IIT JEE is not a selection test. It is a test designed for one sole purpose: Mass rejection.

Get books which can clarify your basic fundas. Then move on to tougher problems.

I used the following set for maths:

Inter Series by Dasgupta (Algebra, Calculus, Trigonometry, Coordinate)
Problem Plus By A.Dasgupta
TMH
MCQs in mathematics by Bharati Bhawan.

One piece of advice:
Don't go madly after books that look tough. You won't gain anything. get ur basics clear. Then move on to bigger things

You are doing the right book. Doing such type of problems would definitely improve your problem solving skills and analyticity. But yes you should solve selective problems because doing whole of them would require a lot of time. Dont think that you are doing wrong book , solving subjective problems is a big step towards increasing your speed and then go for objective problems to give the final touch.
