A shop has 5 types of ice creams. In how many ways can v choose 6? please give d working...
assume we have 5 sets of powers of x our Q requires us to find the coeff of x6
its basically the coefficient of x6 in the expansion of (1+x+x2+x3...)5....
=(1-x)-5
=10C6
cheers!!
Yeah, he's right ...
this is basically to find the non-negative integral solutions of
x1 + x2 + x3 + x4 + x5 = 6
which is n+r-1Cr
here n = 5, r = 6
so ans ~~~> 10C6
there are 5types of icecreams. we need to choose for 6.
so,it would be the cofficient of x6 in the expansion of (1+x+x2+x3...)5
now, y gp summation,
= .
so we get, ways =
