i dont know what boole's theorm u r talking about. but this q can be solved with a very basic ideas. p(A union B) = p(A) + p(B) - p( A intersection B). since we dont know anythin about the event we have to find the most least value. ie p( A intersection B). has the max value. think along venn diagram. when will this happen when one is a subset set of other => p( A intersection B).= p(A) in this case so the ans is p(B) = 2/3

IF 2 EVENTS SUCB)H THAT P(A)=1/3 AND P(B)= 2/3 THEN FIND P(A U B) >= ??
P(A U B) = P(A) + P(B) - p(A intersection B) P(A U B) = 1/3 + 2/3 - p(A intersection B) now p(A intersection B) can be 0 to max 1/3
so P(A U B) >= 1/3 + 2/3 - 1/3 HENCE ... P(A U B) >= 2/3
