solve this question for a salute a circle is drawn passing through three different points. find the probability that all of them lie in the same semicircle.

the question is very good but wat comes to my mind is sunfink very stupid but logical...............the case when 3 points lie on the same semicircle the triangle has to be scalene or at the most right angles since angle ina semicircle is a right angle now how do i find the probability of this.................

let the first point be selected anywhere on the circle. the chance that the second point lies in that semi-circle is 1/2. similarly, the chance that the third point lies in that semi-circle is 1/2. hence, reqd. probability=1/2 x 1/2 =1/4.

hey aysh there is a mistake in ur sol the probability that the second point may lie on the semi circle is 1 and not 1/2 u can proceed now cheeeeeeeers
