Q. The odds that a book will be reviewed favorably by three independent critics are 5 to 2, 4 to 3 and 3 to 4 respectively.What is the probability that of three reviews a majority will be favorable?
please give a detailed solution and a generalised approach to solve this type of problems.

prob= 3 favour + 2 favour = 5.4.3 /7^3 + 5/7 .4/7 .4/7 + 5/7 .3/7 . 3/7 + 2/7 . 4/7 . 3/7 = 60 + 80 + 45 + 24 / 7^3 = 209 / 343

The procedure is simple . 2 favour means two critics have reviewed it favourably & the other has not . So there arises 3 possible cases . ( expressions are self - explanatory )

feynmann is correct 5/7*4/7*3/7 implies all 3 are favorable 5/7*4/7(1-3/7) implies A and B agree,C disagrees 5/7*3/7(1-4/7) implies A and C agree, B does not 4/7*3/7*(1-5/7) implies B and C agree,A disagrees adding these three cases we get the probablity
