Probability question
None

Probab. that dog aged ten years will die in a year is p.Probab. that out of n dogs a1 to an, a1 will die and be first to die is-->

solution to this is given to be [1-(1-p)^n]/n

I am getting some other answer.

IS this answer correct?

ya its correct..

probability that none die = (1-p)^n

at least one die = (1-(1-p)^n)

and the first one to die is a1= 1/n

since the events take place simultaneously total P= [1(1-p)^n]*  1/n .......!!!!!
