My sock drawer contains 6 black socks, 4 blue socks and 5 brown socks. On a dark winter morning, I randomly select two of these socks to wear. Find the chance that they are a matching pair, i.e., they have the same color.

Number of ways of choosing matching socks = 6C2+ 4C2 + 5C2=31
Total no of ways of selecting a pair of socks = 15C2=105
so probabiltiy of selecting matching pair = 31/105
