the AM of two nos exceeds their GM by 2 and the GM exceeds their HM by 8/5,find the nos.

the 2 nos are 16 & 4 assume 2 nos to be a & b we get 1st equa. (a+b)/2 -  ab = 2 2nd equa.  ab - 2ab/(a+b) = 8/5 put a+b = x ab =y solving these qua. x/2 - y = 2 ..................(1) y - [(2y2 )/x] = 8/5 ......................(2) we get x=20 ; y=8 again solving, x= a+b = 20 y=  ab = 8 we get a=16 or a=4 b=4 or b=16 implies the required nos. are {16 , 4} don't forget to rate me
