for a sequence, whose a1= 1/3 and an+1 = an + (an )2 , find the greatest integer velue of the sum given by [ r=2] [ 2008] (1/ a r ) Bhaiya, is the answer 1 for this,,, pls reply asap......

can you tell me your approach
i had changed the parameters
a(n) means nth term
let t n=1/a n
so t1=3
and also t(n+1)=t(n)^2/(t(n)+1)
t(n+1)=t(n)-1+1/(t(n)+1)
now to the sum add and substract t(1)
(t(2)+t(3)+..........+t(n)) where n=2008
the terms as we go on keep decreasing from 9/4

yeah it was in fiitjee's aits, in paper1, n i had asked it to experts, in noon only, hoping to knw then only, if i hav done right or wrong, newayz i hav got a solution now, so no need of solving.....

bhaiya, m srry, i hva realised it now, the solution given is wrong, so if u could give me the solution i'll be gr8ful, wat they hav given as the solution is as follows, Since an+1 = an (1 + an) Then 1/ar = 1/ [ar (ar+1) ] = 1/ ar - 1/ (ar+1) Now S = [1/ a1 - 1/ (a2)] + [1/ a2 - 1/ (a3) ] + [1/ a3 - 1/ (a4) ]+ .......... =1/ a1 - 1/ a2008 thrfore [S]=2 this is wat they hav given, i hav copied it totally word by word, but isnt it wrong (the bold one)...so i wish if u cud give the right solution,( provided it has got any solution, cuz i dnt think, it has)
