Q.1 Let X is a set containing n elements. A subset P of set X
None

Q.1 Let X is a set containing n elements. A subset P of set X is chosen at random. The set X is then reconstructed by replacing the elements of set P and another set Q is chosen at random. Find the probability that PUQ = X.

each element has 3 different fates..

1)it can go to P

2)it can go to Q

3)it can go to both

so event space is 3n

now the sample space,

each subset P and Q has 2n ways each of selecting its elements..

so sample space= 22n

or probability= (3/4)n

cheers!!!
