1. The roots of the quad. eqn. :
(a+b-2c)- (2a-b-c)x +(a-2b+c)=0
a)a+b+c and a-b+c b)1/2 and a-2b+c c)a-2b+c and d)none
2.The set of real 'x' satisfying is:
a) [0,2] b) [-1,3] c) [-1,1] d)[1,3]
Blazing goIITian
ans of 2nd ques is option B [-1,3]
-1 < -1 < 1
0 < < 2
-2 < x - 1 < 2
-1 < x < 3
New kid on the Block
It is clearly visible that x=1 satisfies the eqn. so it is one root also
for ax^2+ bx+c =0
if one root is 1 the other is c/a as product of roots is c/a.... so u can see other root
