The Problem isnt very difficult unless I am very much mistaken,

Let  a=(1+k) 1/3  and b =(k)1/3

Then the denominator reduces to  a2 + b2 + ab =( a3 - b3 )/(a-b)

But  a3 - b3     =   1

therefore substituting and by telescopic cancellation,

ans is 6 - 1 =5

That solves the problem!
