How many litres of water will have to be added to 1125 litres of the 45% solution of acid so that the resulting mixture will contain more than 25% but less than 30% acid content? |

volume of acid solution is 1125 litres actual amount of acid 45/100X1125=506.25lts if we add x litres of water, then the volume of the soln becomes =1125+x but the amount of acid is 506.25lts the resulting mixture should contain more than 25% but less than 30% acid content so, 25/100X(1125+x)=506.25 x= 900lts 30/100X(1125+x)=506.25 x=562.5lts hence the ans is 900 to 562.5 liters
