There are 6 identical apples,8 identical bananas, and 11 identival oranges....

So total no of ways of distributing apples among 2 students is 6p2...
similarly for bananas and oranges the total no of ways is 8p2 and 11p2 respectively...
So total no of ways of distributing it amongst the 2 persons is...
6p2+8p2+11p2..

Now by formulaof permutation NpR=N!/(N-R)!
calculate each..
it seems that you are in 11th std...
if you have any further problem please mail me at aakashaastha@rediffmail.com.

Thank you..

(2^6)(2^8)(2^11)-(2^6-2^8-2^11)-(2^6)(2^8)-(2^8)(2^11)-(2^11)(2^6)........
see what i have done is total number of ways of distributing - ways of distributing so that none gets all the fruits

each fruit can go to either of the 2 boys...so 2^n is ways of distributing n fruits among 2 boyz......think over it and llet me know any sort of prob
