Total no of pairs = 6c2 = 15 now no of cases s.t . X= 1 is 0 X=2 is 1 X=3 is 2 X=4 is 3 X=5 is 4 X=6 is 5 so , E( X ) =1/15 { 2.1 + 3.2 + 4.3 + 5.4 + 6.5} = 14/3
