wat u do is ------you differentiate the numerator.....and denominator........nd apply the limits.............
example...............
limit tends to 0........ sinx/x usin l hospital rule............. cosx/1 cos0=1 hence the answer...... but its not always advisable to use l hospital.......as sometimes limits doesnt exist........
