it is a basic function wich gives sign of a number

f(x) such that f(x) =1 for x>0

=0 for x=0

=-1 for x<0

Essentially, Signum function is defined as:sgn (x) = 1 if x > 0= 0 if x=0= -1 if x<0|x|/x is NOT the definition of signum function because |x|/x is undefined at x=0
