it is a number which is special in many ways
it is the first on the list of whole numbers
only real number that does not mean differently when a + or - is used in front of it
it is the identity element of one of the basic operations in maths ..addition because anynumber + 0 gives the same number

zero's  are those values which satisfy a given condition
 
Eg;
 
Let f(x)=x2-3x+2
 
Here 2 and 1 are the zeros the function f(x)
