Let x = 10 ^ -2.3
take log on both sides
log x = -2.3 log 10
= - 2.3 _
x = antilog( -2.3) = antilog( 3.7)

y = 10^(-2.3)
logy = (-2.3)log10
notice mantissae is negative here make it positive by adding and subtracting 1
logy = (-2-1 +1-0.3)*1
logy=(-3+0.7)
_
y= antilog(3.7)
solve further by getting value of 0.7 from antilog table
