there are two circles whose equations are x^2 + y^2 =9 and x^2 +y^2 -8x-6y+n^2 =0, n belongs to I,hav exactly two common tangents.Then the no. of possible values of n ??

to have exactly two common tangetns the circles must have to intersect each other at two points

so, r1+r2(distance between their centres)

solve this inequality and u wll get d ans.
