The distance b/w two parallel lines is unity .A point P lies b/w the loines at a distance a from one of them .The length of a side of a equilateral triangle PQR,vertex Q of which lies on one of the parellel lines and vertex R lies on the other line,is________

no the ans is not 2a.it is r=(2/3^1/2)*(a^2 -a +1)^1/2
