WHY SHOULD THERE BE CODES ONLY FOR WOMEN???

Forming almost half of the population of the country and marking their presence in every field possible, it can be easily assumed that women power is making its position recognized globally. They are working an all spheres and are slowly and steadily outperforming men. But thanks to a few individualistic chauvinist societies or elements, there growth and aspirations are being cut down by imposing codes on them. These codes may vary from dress codes, behavioral codes or social codes.

This is a question to all those who think that women should aspire in their limitations that why do they think so? Are they afraid or being grasped by insecurities? Women are fairing very well in their own ways and pace and whenever they do something which should be appreciated and recognized, it is criticized and questioned.

They are asked to wear “decent” clothes and behave in a passive and so called “dignified” ways wherever they go, but can someone explain exactly what do they mean when they use words like “decent” and “dignified” in their context. Through recent happenings it has come into picture that dress codes are being imposed upon girls studying in different colleges and universities. This rule is completely baseless as girls there, are from well to do families and they themselves know where to draw the line.

Men are not questioned in any context even if they are in objectionable states. They are let off with whatever they want to do. They are never bounded by any restrictions or limitations. This is unfair on the part of women and also to the whole society because this violates the basis of the formation of our countries constitutions which certifies equality to all sexes. This is a long, debatable & sensitive topic, so should be dealt with utmost care. And people should understand that if women are progressing then it is not to defame men but to carve their own niche.
