ehh..archaebacteria!
yeah..they do show more similarites..to eukarya..on the basis of cell wall structure (lipid compounds) , metabolic pathways , and enzymes, especially those in 'translation' and 'transcription'!
buh..they r still considered 'primitive to bacteria' coz.. it is assumed that these were 'the most primitive organisms' that ever existed.. (considering the conditions that they adapt best to)
after them, it is assumed that prokaryotes came into being! that is , bacteria!!
Hence, it is more in the evolutionary sense of view, that we place archebacteria as primitive to bacteria!
also, the nucleoid present in the archaebacteria gives enuff evidence, that prokaryotes followed the eukarya! As the environmental conditions eased out (O2 came) , a new need for faster reproduction was realised , and hence prokaryotes were formed before eukaryotes!

please rate me if you accept .
archae bac. has earned a special class just beacause they live in extreme conditions like high temperature, salty conditions, marshy areas ,absence of oxygen.these bacteria has special cell wall structure differing from other bacteria to survive in this extreme conditions. cell wall consists of glycoconjugate and poly-(-l-glutamide) and natrococcus.this makes them to survive.
