1. for DNA chain elongation mainly DNA polymerase III is responsible. DNA polymerase I and II are the repairing enzymes.
2. Transposons are also called jumping genes bcoz they are mobile sequences of DNA that can move within the genome of the cell.

Polymerase 3 chain elongation in prokaryotes in 3" to 5"direction with exonuclease

Plasmids &bacteriophages both are frequently used but also transposons called jumping genes
