Its impossible to add anyone of these 5 odd numbers and get 50 because you can't get an even number by adding an odd number odd times. See you have got 100 by adding the odd numbers even times i.e. 10 times but that doesn't imply that you'll get its half by adding half the number of times i.e. 5 times. You can get 50, by adding 4 and 6 odd numbers for e.g 1+5+7+9+11+17= 50, unless there is no even number given, you can't get 50 as the answer and such type of questions I think don't come in IIT JEE or other exams, but you can improve your IQ through such kind of questions.

Even number of 'odd numbrs' cn giv even numbr like 50. . . .bt 5 such n0s.cnt giv as '5' is odd. . .if u c0nsider th numbrs as x1+1,x2+1 . . .x5+ 1 whr x1,x2,x3,x4,x5 are evn,add them up,al x terms wil giv X,say,even numbr. .so X can n0t b 45 and remain 5*1 wil giv 5 and th t0tal sum wil b 50 had u get X=45
