OK. May be the following info will help you:-
BITSAT is a student-friendly exam. By this I mean that you have to choose the venue (since you are a girl, you'll most probably get the first choice entered by you) as well as the test date. It is generally conducted in the period 15 May to 12 June.
It consists of four sections - PCM and English and Logical Reasoning. The syllabus of PCM is nothing new. Whatever you study for IIT, AIEEE and Boards, the same is asked in BITSAT. IT is actually the NCERT syllabus, but with a bit higher difficulty level. When you appear for the test, the English + Logical Reasoning questions appear to be very easy but while attempting them, be a bit cautious since they may result into negative marking. Keep this in mind when you appear for the test. The English does not include the class 11th and 12 th chapters. It just some synonyms, passages, logical reasoning questions. Basically it tests your knowledge in English gained since the begining of your school days.
In total, there are 150 questions in the paper with 180 minutes (3 hrs) time. The time in this exam is a little less in comparison to other exams (except for DCE-CEE). So, you need to be quick enough.
Secondly, regrading the reputation of this institute - It is one of the best institutes in India. It is even better than som of the IITs. As far as I know, it is ranked 6th among the best colleges of India. The placement records speak for themselves. They have one of the best placement records.
And regarding your query on the choice between IIT and BITS - well, that depends on the marks or rather the rank you get in JEE. If you are getting a good rank in JEE, then I'll advise you to opt for JEE. But if you are not satisfied with the branch that you'll get in JEE, then opt for BITS.
BITS-Pilani is the best among the three - BITS-Pilani, BITS-Goa and BITS- Hyderabad. It is way ahead of the other two. If you get a chance to get into BITS-Pilani- it'll great for you to go there (only if you don't get a good branch in IIT. You see IIT is the best).
The following institutes are the best (in decreasing order of their facilities, placements etc etc....)
1. IITs (obviously)
2. BITS-Pilani
3. DCE (DCE Main and NSIT)
4. Some top NITs
You might be knowing about the rest.
I think the above info might have been helpful. If you want to know something else, then you may ask.
