A method to extract silver?

One way to extract silver from silver sulphide is to first prepare a complex salt of silver sulphide and then react it with zinc to get 2 mole silver(as per the 12th textbooks on silver extraction).it is a long two step process.

now here is a short one step process by reacting silver sulphide with zinc an still we get 2 mole of silver.

So why cannot we use the second process? answer

completely..
