COUNSELLING PROCEDURE
The counselling procedure is divided into two stages, Main Counselling and Second Round of Counselling.
1.Main Counselling:
The main counselling procedure is divided in two phases:
Phase-I: Off-campus On-line Counselling (June 23 - June 29, 2008 )
Phase-II: On-campus On-line Counselling (July 4 - July 13, 2008 )
The detailed procedure is described below:
1.1 Phase-I: Off-campus On-line Counselling
1. During this phase, candidates found eligible for counselling by CBSE, on the basis of AIEEE-2008 results are required to exercise their initial choices of branches and institutions by filling Form 1 through Internet (www.ccb.nic.in) from places of their convenience. The candidates may contact the nearby PI for availing the Internet facility free of charge.
2. For Off-campus counselling a candidate has to log on to the website www.ccb.nic.in and click on “off-campus counselling”.
3. Engineering and Architecture streams will appear on the computer screen; click on the desired stream.
4. Register as a new candidate by clicking on “New candidate!! Register here” link. Read the instructions given on the screen and click on “Register”.
5. The candidate is required to enter the details as printed in the Admit Card.
6. The procedure for exercising choices or seeking other information is menu-driven. It guides the candidates through appropriate messages on the computer screen.
7. Information relating to institutions, disciplines (Engineering / Technology and Architecture / Planning), branches (e.g., Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, etc.) and categories (OP, OBC, SC, ST, etc.) will be available through each relevant dropdown menu for the purpose of exercising choices as well as for a feel of their competitive standing for their preferred choices among the logged-in candidates
