cube root onemore-only for perfect cubes

Engineering Entrance , JEE Main , JEE Advanced , Mathematics , Algebra , Analytical Geometry , academic

write the list of cubes of 1-10 as follows

1 1

2 8

3 27

4 64

5 125

6 216

7 343

8 512

9 729

revise the last numbers

know

pick `a perfect cube` to check:474552

group it by 3 digits,

474 552

see the last digit,

8^3=512 (see 2 in both cases)

therefore last digit is 8.

next,see the next group,

474

check for the greatest cube number smaller than the number,

343<474

check the cube root,

7^3=343

now write the numbers,

only for perfect cubes

474 552

7 4

know find the cube roots of

140608

54872

1191016

997002999

491169069

answer check calculator
