EASIEST METHOD TO FIND SQUARE OF A TWO DIGIT NUMBER
Let the two digit number be xy
where x is the tens place digit and y is the ones place digit.Square of a two digit number has a maximum of four digits and minimum of three digits.
we know that (x+y)2=x2+2xy+y2
also (10x+y)2=100x2+10*2xy+y2
Here ones place digit is y^2 tens place digit is 2xy and hundredth place digit is x^2.
While calculating the square if there is any remainder it must be added to the next place digit.
1. 312
ones place digit=12=1
tens place digit=2*3*1=6
100s place digit=32=9
therefore 312=961
2. 472
ones place digit=72=49=9 remainder= 4
tens place digit=2*4*7+4(rem)=60=0 remainder=6
100s place digit=42+6(rem)=22
therefore 472=2209
3. 892
ones place digit=92=81=1 remainder=8
tens place digit=2*8*9+8=152=2 remainder=15
100s place digit=82+15=79
therefore 892=7921

I am already using this method for past 4 years since i was in 9th..
And ya, it is absolutely the best method to find squares....
Even a more trick can be added in it, to increase ur calculation speed...
Cant type that, sorry...
But would add it whenever possible
@rohan kumar
I just thought it would help someone who does not know this method.
