1. eq wt. of acid = molar mass/basicity
basicity is the no. of H+ given by an acid
basicity - HCl 1, HNO3 1, H2SO4 2 H3PO3 3 etc.
2. eq. wt. of base = molar mass/acidity
acidity is no. of OH- given by a base
acidity - NaOH 1, KOH 1, Ca(OH)2 2, Al(OH)3 3 etc.
3. eq. wt of oxidising agent (e- gainer) = molar mass/no. of e- gained by 1 molecule
4.eq. wt. of reducing agent (e- loser) = molar mass/no. of e- lost by 1 molecule
5. eq. wt of salt = molar mass of salt/total +ve charge on cation
eg - Na Cl, E = M/1
BaCl2, E = M/2
Al2(SO4)3, E = M/6
6. eq. wt of element = atomic mass/valency of element
7. eq. wt. of ion = formula mass of ion/charge on the ion
