Good study habits are always essential for every aspirant who aspire to achieve great success in the entrance exams. Developing good study skills totally depend upon a student's grasping power, his interests, his capability, environment and self discipline. There are some useful techniques to develop study skills

Select An Suitable Place For Study

Choose an appropriate place for study where you won't face any disturbances from others. Also, keep all the needy things such as pen, pencil, notebook, laptop, books within your reach before sitting down for study. Besides, always develop a calm attitude as nobody learns anything straight away. If anyone still distracts you, you should politely ask him to leave till your study completes.

The Art of Visualization

Visualization method helps an aspirant to develop his imagination, creativity and cognitive skills. It basically refers to see imagination through the mind on whatever is being taught in the class. In this technique, you can create pictures, block diagrams, matching real world objects with the concepts you have read.

Using Flashcards
One of the most common methods of keeping a tab on topics is flashcard. In this technique, you have to note down some keywords on a small postcard for a quick reference. It will help you to develop hits to the topics as well as to improve the whole content from the keywords.

Mindmaps

The another best powerful technique to relate topics and associate links is through mind map. This tool is not only effective for generating more ideas for comprehension, essay writing, critical thinking, but it also sharpens the thought process.

Study the Subject First Which you find hardest

Always start with a subject which you find hardest. For e.g. if you find Maths as the most difficult subject, then Chemistry less difficult and Physics as lesser difficult. So you start your study with Maths and end with Physics. It will keep your brain afresh.

Group Discussion

If you revise topics by group discussion with your friends, it will improve your memory. Allot half an hour time in your time schedule for your doubt clarification and discussion. It will also build your communication as well as social skills.

Be Relax

Taking short breaks during study will rejuvenate your body and mind both. Besides, a minimum of 7 hours sound sleep is also recommended. Also, you can also practice meditation, yoga, deep breathe exercises to improve concentrate and focus.
