Hi ,
I have posted this article in goiit as a token of gratitude for the various benefits I recieved from the goiit community as a whole. What I am going to write is based on my own Experience.
IITJEE :
Many students , as soon as they enter 11th standard,start going for coaching classes for various entrance exams . These students start to think that to succeed in the Entrance Exams,everything else must be sacrificed.I strongly oppose it.The Higher secondary is a part of life which is to be enjoyed. Also Inorder to succeed, U dont need to sacrifice everything but U must just plan ur day and spend it in an intelligent way.What I mean is U should just prioritse the activities & eliminate the unwanted things.I would suggest that 3 hrs per day during a school day and around 7- 8 hrs on Holidays are perfectly sufficient for preparing for IITJEE.But When I mean 3hrs,I mean 3 hrs in whole.ie. 3 hrs of quality time.
Attitude:
Ur attitude towards the IITJEE Examination matters a lot. If U think that U cannot achieve it,I assure U that U cant.But If U think that U can , U can surely achieve a gud rank in IITJEE if u work hard.So always keep a positive attitude and go on with ur preparations.Also,U must learn the subjects for IITJEE with an interest to know , understand and enjoy the concepts of the subject.This way U will never feel tired or bored of the subjects. View with the problems in a interesting aspect.U will realise that learning for IITJEE is Fun! This will also give U a sense of detachment from the result of IITJEE thereby relieving U of the tension of IITJEE. (Which will actually maximise Ur chance of success)
Books:
This is actually a difficult topic to deal with as there are lots and lots of Books in the market.What I would say is decide for Yourself .Choose between 2-3 books for each Subject and limit yourself to it.Just because ur friends have a different buk doesnt mean that U should read it.This is a topic in which U have to be really clear as buying a library of IITJEE buks for urself will be harmful for chances of selection in IITJEE.
Relaxation:
Relaxation is an important part of Ur preparation as Ur mind will get tired after a long duration of study.Relaxing Urself and unwinding are gud methods of rejuvenating Urself and getting back to studies with full Vigour.
Truths of IITJEE:
Enough about IITJEE hypes. Ill tell U a few shocking yet true details about IITJEE.

The above table gives the details of marks scored by students in the respective subjects in the respective years of IITJEE . Out of 160 marks,the number of students who have scored above the given marks in all the three subjects is given as the number of candidates. Now,note that scoring above the given marks in all the three subjects is not at all a big deal to anyone who studied for the 2 years sincerely . What I wish to make U understand is that getting a very gud rank in IITJEE is not at all a big deal If U study YOUR best for the next 2 years.
So, Just relax , Keep Ur head cool, prepare well and give your best in IITJEE.
