Engineering Entrance , JEE Main , JEE Main & Advanced , Exam Date and Pattern

JEE MARKING

JEE papers are very carefully scrutinised and checked to eliminate the chances of errors and mistakes.Lots of people sit in a big hall, and one person checks one particular question thus reducing the chances of difference in marks for difference students due to checking differences between students. Part marks are there and are allocated as per the number of steps matching with the printed solution.There are separate cut-offs for each subject as well as total cut-out.Below is presented an comparison of ranks with approximate marks range( in JEE 98 and 99).Note ,actual marks are not released by IIT.This is based on discussion with my friends from different branches in IIT.

190-210 From 2000 to 3000
210-240 From 1500 to 2000
240-265 From 1000 to 1500
290-320 From 500 to 750
320-340 From 300 to 500
340-370 From 100 to 300
370-600 Top 100
