Ammonia 25% w/v in water.For neutralizing ninhydrin fixer for chromatograms and numerous other applications.
Aniline-Diphenylamine 1.8% w/v aniline and 1.8% w/v diphenylamine in acidified acetone. For detecting reducing sugars.
Antifoam 25% antifoam reagent in methylene chloride. For preventing/dispersing foam.
Antimony Trichloride 22% w/v antimony trichloride in chloroform. For detecting vitamin A, steroid glycosides and related compounds.
Bromocresol Green 0.04% w/v bromocresol green in ethanol. For detecting organic acids and bases.
Chloramine-T 5% of reagent in 0.5% sodium hydroxide. For detection of phenolic compounds.
Cupric Acetate 3% w/v cupric acetate and 15% w/v phosphoric acid. For detecting prostaglandins.
a-Cyclodextrin 1% w/v of the reagent in ethanol. Distinguishes saturated from unsaturated lipids.

Diphenylhexatriene 0.03% of the reagent in chloroform. For detecting lipids.
Dragendorffs reagent. 0.11% potassium iodide and 0.6millimole bismuth subnitrate in 3.5Macetic acid. For detecting alkaloids and quaternary nitrogen compounds.
Ferric chloride-potassium ferricyanide 3% solutions in 2M hydrochloric acid For detecting aromatic amines and phenolic compounds.
Ferric chloride 2.7% w/v of salt in 2M hydrochloric acid. For detecting phenols and phenolic acids.
Fluorescamine 0.005% of the reagent in acetone. For detecting primary amino acids and amines.
HPT Reagent 0.025% w/v 8-hydroxy-1,3,6-pyrenetrisulphonic acid trisodium salt in methanol. For detecting bile acids.
Iodoplatinate 0.15% w/v potassium chloroplatinate and 3% potassium iodide in dilute hydrochloric acid. For detecting alkaloids, amines, and organic nitrogen compounds.

Oxime (8-hydroxyquinoline) 0.25g in 8:20 etanol/water For detection of cations, AL, Cr, Fe, Co, Ni, Mn, Zn.
Phosphormolybdic acid 5% of reagent in Propan 2-ol For detection of Fatty acid methyl esters, keto acids, lipids, steroids, and sulphated bile acids.
Phosphoric acid / cupric acetate 3% cupric acetate w/v in 8% phosphoric acid v/v. For detection of Phospholipids.
Rhodamine B 0.25% of regent in ethanol. For detecting lipids, and For detecting metals (Au, Bi, Cd, Fe, Hg, Mo, TI, V, and W.)
