' Tackling murphy's law '
what to do when things go horribly wrong with ur PC-:
You must have heard Murphy's Law.
A brief history -In 1949, Captain Edward A. Murphy ,an engineer with the U.S Air force ,,was testing human tolerance to G-forces during the rapid deceleration of rocket powered sled designed to move faster than bullet. However despite elaborate, careful checks and re-checks of the precision equipment, the readings on the sensor gauges(used on the strapped -in chimpanzee) showed up no readings at all. Why? Because Murphy's assistant had wired the electronce strain guages backwards! Exasperated with the man,Murphy alleged remarked,"If that guy has any way of making a mistake ,he will ," Eventually this stray comment was convoluted over the passage of time and found its way into Webster's Dictionary in 1958 as Murphy's Law thar goes"if something can go wrong ,it will"
So ,when things go wrong with your pc -----even as you are working or playing---
some freeware that may just save the day for you by helping you find a workaround.
GONEIN60's
No, this is not about Nicolas Cage,Angelina movie.
But have you ever accidentally closed an application programme you were working on??? and then groaned and moaned and kicked and screamed while waiting it to load up again?.Several times ,in fact .In sometimes saving document changes too.But this clever piece of code here can often prove to be a time saviour for clumsy cretins beacuse it can open the recent closed application ---provided you activate it in 60 sec(thts the default setting).Basically waht it does is that insted of killing an application when you close an application it simply hides the programme for the duration of the delay period. If you retrieve it(via icon in the system tray) during this timeframe, you are home and dry.Else it is understood that you actually wanted the app.
Antifreeze
Microsoft Windows has done it to virtually each of us.Time after time .Right form the age of the almost prehistoric.Windows 3.1 to current state- of art Windows vista. This ubiqquitous operating system's most consistent feature perhaps has been freezing our pc's into unresponsive dumb boxes.
Maybe you have run some wretched piece of code, opened too many programmes ,run low CPU /memory resources---whatever --but apart from a silent, frisky mouse pointer and or a blinking cursor, your PC seems daed as a doormat. You may try calling up Windows task Manager though cntrl-alt-del, no response
hung ,Maybe not. If u got Antifreeze loaded, you may not need to reach for the reset button .Instead ,you can hit a hotkey combo to lanch its small memory and CPU cycles. You can then use Anti freeze to selectively end processes that you suspect are to blame.
Drivelmage XML
Murphy's law can always strike. No one can help iy.so u can prevent it,how to cope with the most scariest scenario of them all:data disaster?,i suppose you have heard this many times.the only way to safeguard your data is to back it up .
