Hello friends ..

goIIT.com, a website to help people get through engineering exams .. an article of this website .. a lot of people reading this article surely dream to get into IITs ..

I also had that dream .. a dream for which I worked hard .. really hard. Finally made it into JEE ... got the best branch .. performed really well .. got a sweet job .. but always had a question in my mind .. Is it the same place i wanted to come .. ?? What makes it special ... is it the large playground .. big building .. enormous campus .. the answer has always remain a mystery ..

As I pondered over it throughout the night, I am writing this small article. I shall try to present a view. A view that most people understand only after entering here, infact many choose to ignore it then also. However I chose to try and understand it.. and this is what I make out of it.

If you are coming in with a goal that whatever hard work you wanted to do, you have already done and that now it is the time to relax .. than think twice .. you will not be doing rest over here.  A place that shall keep you on your toes .. demand from you work, academic or non academic is irrelevant .. but u will be doing something .. be it dancing .. quizzing or chess .. anything .. I have just mentioned that subtle .. infact the most subtle point about the life at IIT .. which makes it such a dynamic place .. a wonderful lovely place .. you shall learn to cope with stress .. to enjoy .. to live life .. to explore new things .. to achieve .. to lose .. to fight .. to cheat .. to love .. to hate .. u shall learn to live .. If you ever thought .. that it is a place for people who just keep mugging .. how wrong u were .. even i was ... probably life is about living it like that only .. working at last moment .. :) .. cracking exams and coming out in blues ..

Do not expect it to be a different place .. do not expect that classes will teach u something which no book can teach .. do not expect that professors are some gods .. who will enchant something that will transform your life .. do not expect that kids here are supercomputers .. false all is false .. a normal place .. but a great environment .. this place is alive because of the people .. people like u .. people like me ..

If you have the zest to face challenges .. spirit to lean new things .. arrogance to stick to your point .. humbleness to accept fault .. welcome to this place .. you shall enjoy .. u shall have fun .. as I pass out of IITD .. i look back .. god .. what I was .. what I am .. this place has taught me a lot .. a lot .. it can be with you as well .. put ur heads down .. prepare hard .. make it through ..
