Aas with me, I'm one of those people whome you may call "tech savvy" or "geek". I fell in love with programming the moment I was introduced to GWBASIC in 6th std. I learned C language in 9th and because I was so interested, I went looking for languages more interesting than C. I found Java and processing, a language based on Java, really interesting. And I know some HTML too. But I must admit that I was able already familiar with the syntax of many languages just because I knew the basics of C! Also, once you get the concepts clear, no one can erase it from your mind. ..I said all this to prove that the more interested you are, the less time it will take!
c++ is similar to JAVA . I was taught JAVA in my school from class 9 to class 12.........and believe me we hardly need to study MORE THAN 1 HR IN A WEEK. the basics were taught in class 9 ,10 and only few concept remained for class 11 and 12.
well if anyone has no other job and knows little bit boolean he/she can MASTER basics of JAVA/C++ in 4-6 month depending upon dedication.

no actually it's quite easy in comparison to pcm
u have to just keep ur basics right 20-30 min a day or even u just listen to d teacher in class is more than enough
no extra efforts are required
just try to enjoy this subject with easy intellectual programs which makes u to understand d subject better
it's my 2nd year with pcm and cs and i am quite comfortable
