hi....
i am hoping to do a b.tech in Biotech this year 2...
may b i can help u out a bit..
- take biotech only if u have a general interest in the subject, not out of compulsion... otherwise it's going to be very tough for u 2 cope wid it !
- at present... the scope for biotech is very limited in India.. but it is a sort f a "craze" in developed countries. this fact is reflected in college placements.
- so, it is advisable to do biotech frm a very good institute so tht atleast u have decent placements and chances to migrate abroad.
- finally, remember.. nce u take biotech, u chances to venture into other fields are very limited !

right now in present India, the scope for Biotech is not so good
but in coming 5-6 years, its gonna b gr88
so if u wanna join biotech now, go for it

bio is not necessary for biotech

believe me biotech doesn't have good scope in India
However, we can't say anything for it after 10 yrs.
I've asked dis wid my VMC faculties.

i heard it was very little scope in india.it seems 2 be a very narrow field and u need 2 study furture after b.tevh,only den u'll hav gud plaacement opportunities

in india scope of biotech nd other branches is limited
but then its emerging branch which has a great future
its booming in demand in china nd japan
in BITS also in 1year der is bio so people who r interested can do furthur studies on this topic
bioinformatics in not much diffrent
almost same type of scope
if u want to abroad its nice bet but not so if u want to stay in india but not a bad option
