Go for it if you have the interest , it is one of the core engineering branches so it has to be good.

thats a common miconception that branches except ece or comp dnt have a scope ... chemical is a gr8 branch witha wide scope .. nd as far as income is ocncerned it is worthy to note thaat chemical engineers get the highest starting salary !

Ya chemical engg is an evergreen branch. U hav ample scope for jobs with a good salary.

Often people say that chem engg doesn't have that much scope. Well, it doesn't have the same scope as electrnoics or civil currently nor the same starting salaryies as computers, however if you do well and excel it can be as rewardig as any other engg in the long term and you can even land up as CEO after BTech + MBA + work exp. Chem in a better place could be a >=option than higher branch in lower place espe for MBA.
