Actually Puneet sir, if one writes the improvement examination, would it be visible in the certificate ? I mean, would it be a black mark ?

I'm planning to do that. I could've done much better. I was kinda sick on Maths exam day and wasn't able to finish :(.

And for that matter, when will the improvement exams be held ? I'm CBSE but in my state's syllabus, it gets conducted in June, with SAY exams.

@eklaghar
What exactly are you trying to say with regard to BITS-Pilani?

1)That studying at BITS will damage your future prospects(You must be out of your mind to suggest this)

2)You think that BITS takes through board marks.No it doesn't any more.There's BITSAT.And even when it did you still needed 97%+ for CS.

3)Something else....

@BITS360 1) I did not ask whether studying at bits would harm my future or not......... i asked whether repeating a year will harm or not............ 2)and i know how god a institute bits is, and though it does not take on the basis of boards marks, still i have to score min..80% to get into it......... 3) thank you for your kind answer..........

I apologize for my misunderstanding.

Well frankly repeating wouldn't really harm your prospects.However , there are companies (very few ) which have made a note in their it.recruitment conditions that the candidate must not have more than 1 year gap between 12th and joining BITS.

My suggestion would be that repeating would help as long as you don't waste the extra year.
