i attempted jee this year 2008. i am getting very very less marks. actually i didnot prepare well in the two years of my 11th and 12th .i wasted a lot of time.now i am totally regretting myself.i am not able to control my sadness.

i am really very very very sad as i didnot utilise my time properly for 2 years.i am not able to express my sadness in words.

i have decided to drop an year and want to attempt jee 2009. To say iam really a very good hardworker. i have the ability to study for 19 to 20 hrs daily.i got 92 percent in 10th class(cbse). but i didnot utilize my determantion and hardwark(which i had while i was in 10th) in 11th and 12th.this is the reason why i am in regret.

if i put my sincere efforts with full of determination and hardwork this year (studying 19 to 20 hrs daily) will i be able to crack jee 2009.and is one year enough to crack jee?

please i am waiting for the reply.

I see that you are very sad about 'wasting' the last two years.

I dont think dropping a year is worht it. Not to discourage you or anything, but if you don't get into IIT in 2009, then this year is a complete waste. Studying for 19-20 hours a day (i dont know how it is possible) is completely not worth it, nor is it healthy.

Better, you just join another university this year and pursue engineering. If you are hardworking and get good marks, that is enough to reach your goal...you don't need IIT's name.

I feel if u join some engineering college

even though u get into not a very nice college

u still have an MBA to do from IIM(another imp university).....which will give much better offers than IITS..

first of all yaar sincere hardwork done for even 1 year can land u in a rank of to 100 but before deceding for dropping read below.

So i thought of answering u
Buddy first of all i am not scaring u but yaar dropping year is a very difficult 1
actually wen i dropped last year i was also very much enthusiastic .I did a very gud study in first 3 months but after it i was suffered from so much boredom & tension dat wat will happen if i didn't make this time also etc ,etc dat i got totally lost but my teacher & prasoon bhaiya (also bipin bro on this side) helped to get me right back on track(this problem occurs with almost every1 who dropped ) but a person who is unable to overcome got badly defeated by it
So if u r so much strong from inside that u r ready to give fulll complete year TO PCM coz studying all the same topics again coz a lot of boredom.
Now secondly yaar why r u so much dissappointed before the result.Actuallly IIT is not the end of life may u get a very gud cllg thru AIEEE or BITS
So my frnd don't take tension at this time this time only enjoy & wait for results(or prepare for any other eam whihc u hav)
Take any decision only after the result ot attending the counselling
Don't take the decision in a hurry

Now about prepartion in a drop year:
See actually if u know the concepts i.e if ur basic concepts r strong then only try to do the ques coz ques r the things that make ur concepts more clear & help u in making u understand the applicatiopn of dat concept better
Also yaar don't donate time on just finding answer to any ques but spend time in goin to the depth of ques viewing every aspect or every diff way in whihc u can do that ques.
about buks:
Physics :HC Verma is more than sufficient but if u do all ques in it by the way whihc i hav told above.Also objective Arihant is also gud

About coaching .Actually if ur concepts r gud then no need of it .But as when u analyse a ques then u need a teacher (like my sir) who makes u understand each aspect of ques in whihc u r not getting.So see if u find a teacher who can give u such type of knowledge then only take tuitions otherwise no need of it

i know how are u feeling rite now man,coz i can connect to you,believe me last year i was in the exact situation which u are in right now.i was feeling disgusting and was regretful.so i decided to take a drop and after 1 year i can tell u that i aint dissapointed.if u are honest with urself and are 100% confident that ull study very hard.ill say go for the drop,if u have any doubts,ill say join an engineering college and study side by side.aslo,if u are OK leaving ur home,i would say go to resonance kota. its the best for repeaters. wish u best of luck

ya sure u can do it
now the pattern of IITs is totally NCERT level
u should take admission in a coaching institute. this will tell u where u stand . u should not miss any test there
