Refer R C Mukharjee. Its really a nice book on physical chemistry.

For reactions and mechanisms refer S N Sanyal. Everything is given concisely.

HEY PURAB , REFER P BAHADUR  IT IS THE BEST BOOK FOR PHYSICAL CHEMISTRY IT CONTAINS PROBLEMS WHICH R VERY CLOSE TO IIT PATTERN...
