Dear Sir/ Ma'am

i need ur help, my case is dat i gave full force fr 2 yrs (actually i got nt so gud coaching) bt i dun think dat i will make into either aieee or jee. my parents r sayin me to give a shot to local exams and they r sayin to try for maulana university in himachal side bt one of my frnds said dat after college there will be lot of probs as u may'nt get a gud placement so if u can guide me den pls tell

my doubts are large i mean endless thats why i am asking the esteemed experts to guide me.

should i apply for Maulana University or Else i should drop?

Incase if I Drop where should i go to coaching in Delhi or Kota?(preferably all material information of good coaching in both cities)

Should i also suscribe monthly Magzines and corresspondance cousres? if yes then suggest suitable one!

If I join a college like Maulana will i be able to cope up with competition Exams which I plan to attempt next year?

I am very thorough with my chemistry I ve O.P. Tondon for physical & inorganic chemistry: O.P. Aggrawal for Organic Chemisrty & G.C. Aggarwal for Physics!

My target is to work on MATHS i want a institute which can provide faculty to improve my conceptual clatiry in maths! and tackle application based problems(one having Droppers batch)

above all please suggest how to tackle wid the mental pressure and Boredom since studies will be repetetive and the demoralising thoughts which pre occupy y mind and debar me to give my best ..a feeling of insecurity in future..that will i make it next time...

Please Guide...looking forward for expert opinion to guide me

Hey pooja. Sorry i won't be able to answer all your doubt's especially the doubt's about coachings and delhi/Kota.

Some how from your post it is appearing to me that you are a hard working person who gave her best shot in 11th and 12th but still failed (Or expecting to fail). So that ways you hold very good chance of succeding (that makes you much much better than those who had not prepared for it in 11th and 12th and are still planing to drop.) Since you feel that you failed because of poor guidance despite of your own hard work going to maulana university and doing self study may not help you very much. So in case you want to give it a shot better take a full fledged shot (I would have suggested you otherwise if you had come from a good coaching and failed because of lack of self study).

Secondly don't think of picking up too much study material. I think if you are focusing on concept then your coachings study material and some standard text books are more that sufficient. Think about anything else when yu you feel that there is nothing left in those books.

Third point for all those who are hard working and still fail in JEE. In class 6th to 10th there are typically two ways of studies. About 90 percent of the students just learn there class work and home work assignments without understanding anything and there are only 10 percent students who understand anything. The students who understand things find 11th and 12th very comfortable as at this stage understanding becomes very important. Most of the students who learn things find 11th and 12th too difficult to handle as it becomes increasingly difficult to manage such a vast syllabus. But there are still few hard working students in this lot who have enough learning capacity to manage this syllabus. They can get good marks even in boards. But when it comes to JEE all there hard work fails to deliver any good. A very typical symptoms of such hard working student is following. He/she will do thermodynamics in november and can solve almost all the question at that time but at that time his/her complex number and cordinate is poor. so he/she works very hard on complex and cordinate by january end. But then he/she realises that he/she can't solve thermodynaics problem. If this is a problem with any one you need to change your method of preperation. i know its extremely difficult but i feel it is necessary. (This third point is my personal view point and anyone can feel free to disagree with it)

first of all i would like to knw that u hav applied fr anyother exams beside aieee or iit......???? if yes
then study fr dem
& plzz keep droppin ur last option...!!!
but if u havn't gt any options left nd ur fully fledged mentally as well as physically prepared then go fr it......
droppin isn't that easy as it may seem.....

now about ur maulana university in himachal ??!!!
i havn't even heard about it....
so dnt join coz as u said its placement wont be gud....
about ur doubt about coachin istitute then

bansal or resonence in kota
or
fiitjee or brilliant would be jst fine...

if u joinin such institute then absolutly no need of correspondence or monthly magzines
but ya u must posses sum standard books fr gud preparation...

i guess all ur doubts hav been cleared..!!!
but i'll repeat once again to u & to all ma fellows here......
droppin doesn't guarantee a seat in iit ...
u hav to be fully mentally prepared before takin such decisions

there are only 2 renonwned colleges in himachal !!!!!

1. nit hamirpur
2. jaypee solan

rest all are crap !!
so dnt even think of joinin any oder colleges in himachal other than these !!!

keep dropping ur last option..

but if u wanna attemp jee and eee one more time..

Then I think best way is to get into a good college this year then prepare for jee wisely and hit the bull's eye next year..

If u r having some xams left this year, then study 4 them and crack them.........4 any kind of help , we all r here on goiit...

but dun lose heart at this time..

I think still few xams r left..u can apply for them..
one xam I remember is Bhartiya Vidyapeeth , pune..

I dun know u r from which state, but many states r still having their CET's left...so, try to give ur best efforts in them..
