I have got sastra,Thanjavur thru aieee off campus councelling..My AIR RANK was 15562 and state rank 2095(up).How is sastra..It is ranked 66 in the list of top engineering colleges..Also post wat have got thru aieee  counselling..

SASTRA is an acceptable engineering college and well that is about it. With that rank you will get things which are much better.

But how can I expect a better college when it is showing not available in almost all the nits????

Online counselling is a very approximate estimate of what you may get in the first round of counselling. You will get something lot better after the second round of counselling. I think you should approximately make it to NIT KKR or Surat wit civil engineering.

Its a gud college as I wud obviously suggest...

the things u cud get  as advantage : many seminars nd conferences nw and then....... credit system of marks...... a student friendly exam pattern...... nd a place were its  quite easy  to get into a Gud company thro placement....nd the syllabus  is also Gud.......u need not worry much abt faculty , evry 1 is  very gud.....nd labs r very nice..... library is brilliant.......... ther is some concept called "electives" its amazing........neways Ull know it if u join.....

the disadvantages I wud suggest : they r a lil strict towards first years.......... It ll  b like somewat school wen seeing its formailties ( but u can expect students like us to break all rules nd enjoy ...tats an exception.....neways they r not too rigid....flexible rules only) then........ the place  is damn hot.....maybe ppl from north may not get used to it soon...........!!!

If u get a college tat is low ranked than SASTRA u can choose SASTRA without worries.......It'll surely b gud....
