if it bhu gets converted to iit this year than what degree we will get "it bhu or IIT

no dear becoz of new rule no states can have 2 iit and iim ..as iit kanpur so bhu will not be as iit..

from where did u read this rule
i have confirmed it from director of it bhu and he said "process is going on and it will be an iit within 2-3 months only".
i am more desperate for my 2nd question "what degree we will get"

UP has two-IIT Kanpur n IIT Roorkee
so wat`s de harm in adding another

IIT Roorkee lies in the state of Himachal Pradesh.
Yes, it is true that one state cannot have two IIT's. UP has two institutes of technology which accept JEE qualified students due to it's large size.
The reason is "quality of opportunities" for all states and proximity of IIT for all state aspirants.
I have also heard that IT-BHU is gonna be IIT next year. It can be , but it cannot be said for sure.

I TOLD HERE ABOVE THAT I HAVE CONFIRMED IT FROM DIRECTOR OF IT BHU VIA EMAIL and ALSO on TELEPHONE
BUT MY QUESTION IS WHAT DEGREE WE WILL GET
once more "IT BHU IS CONFIRMED TO BECOME IIT"
is that clear now?????????

Well i dont think IT-BHU will be converted 2 IIT b'coz
1) Kerala, Karnataka,Goa staes r demanding fer IITs in der staes
fer quite long now.Central Govt. plans 2 open an IIT in each state dat doesnt have one(it is mentioned in the report HRd ministry sent to Planning commission, look at IIT_K site).
2) Moreover BHU is itself a University & IITs r d deemed ones.I dont
think dat Eng. coll. of BHU will be convertd 2 IIT bcoz if dats the case then d Medicalk Coll. of BHU shud be converted 2 AIIMS and & commerce dept. shud b converted 2 SRCC.Govt. will not probably demolish d existence of BHU.
3)My AIR is 2707 dis year &wud have got CSc or atleast electronics at BHU.AIR 3845 has got Mech. at BHU.Last year Mech. at BHU closed at 3245.Its clear dat students r preferring new IITs over BHU.A shift of 600 in mech. at BHU proves dis.I've taken Mech.at IIT -hyderabad
4)I myself asked my frend's dad who is a lecturer at BHU & he told dat BHU is already an IIT wich we all know is not true..Even the prof. at BHU r nt sure whether BHU is being UPGRADED to IIT or is being CONVERTED to IIT.Dats why I didnt fill BHU in my IIT counselling sheet moreso bcoz my BITSAT score is 348 & i wud have undoubtedly preffered BITS over BHU.

yaar in colleges ke DEANS ke baaton ko mat maana karo..
maine IP University ke ek professor se baat kari toh usne kaha ki USIT DCE/NSIT se better hai!!! (DUH!!!!!)

nobody here really knows what he speaks. not even a single person here has confirmed answers.do not make a fool of yourself by giving vague replies on a public forum.
as i had said earlier as we have been told by the administration everybody graduating 2009 onwards will get a degree of "IIT BHU Varanasi" to be complete,clear and confirmed.
others keep replying in the air till you run out of estimations.

Roorkee is in Uttar Pradesh,Himachal Pradesh
BHU commerce should be upgraded to SRCC
university will loose existance
my friends dad's cousin's...............
speak face to face to reach conclusions buddy chains are useless
